What EMDRIA requires
How the program maps to EMDRIA's certification requirements

The program is built to that rule, and every hour is with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. The rest of the application is yours to document, and the guide walks through every step.

Why a cohort of three
This is not a large cohort model.
Consultation is led and facilitated by EMDRIA Approved Consultants, so every one of your 20 hours meets EMDRIA's rule.
We intentionally redesigned our EMDR Certification Consultation Program to align with updated EMDRIA standards while creating a more focused, relational, and clinically meaningful learning experience. It is a small, high-touch consultation experience designed to support your growth as an EMDR clinician.
We moved away from large cohorts and triadic consultation models to create a more intentional structure that prioritizes depth, connection, and individualized feedback. Each cohort includes only three participants, allowing for meaningful case consultation, individualized clinical feedback, and greater opportunity for your voice and clinical work to be seen and supported.
Your consultation experience combines small group sessions and individualized consultation time, intentionally integrated throughout the program, so you receive the full balance of collaborative learning and personalized clinical support that certification requires.
“Certification is a bridge between learning EMDR and embodying it as a safe, ethical, and effective practice.”

FAQ
EMDR certification consultation FAQ: questions clinicians ask before registering.
- Clinicians who have completed an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training, with us or elsewhere. Pre-licensed clinicians may begin the program and the consultation hours count; EMDRIA accepts the certification application itself once you are fully licensed. The program is also open to clinicians who want case consultation without pursuing certification.
- Yes. EMDRIA requires 20 hours of consultation after Basic Training, at least 10 of them individual, in groups no larger than eight. This program includes 10 hours of group consultation in a cohort of three and 10 hours of individual consultation, all with EMDRIA Approved Consultants. The 10 consultation hours inside Basic Training are part of that training and do not count toward the 20.
- EMDRIA asks for certificates of completion for at least 12 hours of EMDRIA Credits, earned after Basic Training. The program carries 12 EMDRIA Advanced Training Hours, designed to meet that requirement.
- Ten biweekly 90-minute group sessions, each with group consultation and dedicated individual focus time, plus individual consultation: an initial session to orient and plan treatment, two extended session reviews, and a final session to support readiness for the EMDRIA application. Additional one-to-one hours are scheduled directly with your consultant.
- Full price is $2,000. Pay in full and it is $1,950, or spread it across 6 payments of $333.33. You choose your payment option at checkout.
