EMDR Basic Training · Beyond Healing Institute
Registration Policies
The full cancellation, refund, transfer, attendance, accessibility, non-discrimination, and grievance policies for EMDR Basic Training — the same terms summarized on the training page, in one place.
Cancellations and refunds
All deadlines are calculated from the first day of your cohort.
- 31 or more days before the start date: full refund of everything you have paid. No administrative or processing fee.
- 14 to 30 days before the start date: 50% of tuition is retained. If you paid in full, half is refunded. If you are on the payment plan, remaining scheduled payments are cancelled; if you have already paid more than half of your plan total, the difference is refunded, and if you have paid less than half, the balance to reach half remains due as a final payment.
- Fewer than 14 days before the start date: no refund. You may instead transfer your registration once to a future cohort, described below.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within ten business days.
To cancel, email therapy@connectbeyondhealing.com. Your request must reach us before the applicable deadline.
If you do not attend and have not cancelled or transferred your registration, tuition paid is forfeited.
Transfers
Each registration may be transferred once, at no charge, to any Beyond Healing Institute EMDR Basic Training cohort beginning within twelve months of your original cohort's start date. Transfers depend on space being available in the cohort you are moving to.
Email therapy@connectbeyondhealing.com at least 72 hours before your original cohort begins. A registration that has been transferred is no longer eligible for a refund.
If we cancel or reschedule
If Beyond Healing Institute cancels or reschedules a cohort, you may take a full refund or move to a future cohort at no cost, whichever you prefer. We are not able to reimburse travel or lodging expenses, so please consider refundable bookings when you make travel arrangements.
Attendance and completion
EMDRIA requires full attendance across all 20 hours of didactic instruction and all 20 hours of supervised practicum. Partial credit is not available for either.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late to a session, or leaving more than 15 minutes early, means that session needs to be made up. Missed sessions can be completed with a future Beyond Healing Institute cohort within twelve months of your original start date, at no additional cost.
If you attend virtually, your camera needs to be on and you need to be visible during practicum. This is how practicum participation is verified for EMDRIA. Attending on Zoom? Please review our full Virtual Attendance Policy before your cohort begins.
The 10 hours of consultation included with your training need to be completed within twelve months of your cohort's start date.
Continuing education hours — 40 NBCC hours and 40 MO-NASW hours — are awarded on full completion of the training. Please confirm with your own licensing board or governing agency whether these hours apply to your requirements.
Completing EMDR Basic Training makes you EMDR-trained. It is not the same as EMDRIA certification, which is a separate, later process requiring additional consultation hours and continuing education after you have been using EMDR in practice.
